We are looking for quality candidates that have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree for teaching positions and previous work experience in a related field. Full-time positions currently available: 

Events Custodian

We are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated Custodian to perform day-to-day duties to ensure the facilities are presentable inside and outside.  The tasks will primarily be performed during school events, on evenings and on Saturdays and will include floors, high touch-point areas, dusting, event set up and tear down, emptying trash, and other duties as needed.  Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills are a must.  Experience in custodial services or a related field is preferred. This is a full-time, ten-month position (work schedule is during the school year and one to two additional weeks after the end of the school year) with some flexibility in scheduling available.  This position is eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 403b retirement plan, and a student tuition discount. 

Environmental Specialist

We are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated Environmental Specialist to perform day-to-day duties to ensure that DC facilities are excellent in all areas. Areas of focus include facility restrooms, cafeteria, classrooms, and high touch-point areas. Duties will be performed during the day. Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills are a must. Ideal candidate will be enthusiastic with a strong attention to details.

This is a full-time, ten-month position (work schedule is performed during the school year and one to two additional weeks after the end of the school year) with some flexibility in scheduling available. Part-time positions currently available: 

Special Education Aide 

Dayton Christian has a need beginning in August, 2021 for an individual to serve as a Special Education Aide.  This position has been established for the purpose of working with an individual and/or small groups of students under the supervision of a certificated teacher in the instruction of special needs students in the general education classroom. The Educational Aide will assist the student(s) by modeling the necessary skills to perform assignments; follow educational and specific behavioral plans; and model appropriate behaviors and interactions with students and staff. The Educational Aide will assist the student(s) by adapting classroom materials and activities based on a student’s particular needs.

This is a part-time (15-18 hours per week), ten-month, hourly position.  The schedule will align with the academic calendar. 

Qualifications for the position include obtaining/maintaining a Valid Ohio Educational Aide Certification, skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job including basic mathematical skills, grammar and punctuation, and reading fluency / comprehension.  A complete position description can be obtained from Human Resources.

Extended Learning Teacher 

Dayton Christian School seeks a qualified candidate to serve in our growing Extended Learning after-school program. This is a part-time, 20-hour per week position. Schedule is Monday – Friday, 2:00 – 6:00 pm. Candidate is responsible for the safety and well-being of all students that stay on school campus after pick-up. Essential Functions of the position include keeping the students safe, offering learning activities for children to participate in while they are waiting to be picked up, and maintaining an organized classroom environment. Qualifications include a love for children, strong communication skills, and a desire to serve others. A high school diploma is required.

Substitute Teacher 

We are looking for dedicated Christians to serve as substitute teachers in grades pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. We provide a Biblically-based curriculum and environment to instill the love of Christ and God’s Word. Searching for candidates with flexibility in substituting for various grade levels and subjects. Must have a bachelor’s degree and be willing to obtain a non-tax certificate.

Volunteer Information

If a volunteer will be in a role that is responsible for the care, custody, or control of a student(s) when a DCS employee is not present in the room, the volunteer needs to submit to a fingerprint background check and pass prior to volunteering in that capacity. Please see an HR representative to help assist in the fingerprint check.
