Environmental Specialist 

We are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated Environmental Specialist who will be responsible for the cleaning and disinfecting of key areas of the Dayton Christian facilities. Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills are a must. Experience in custodial services or a related field is preferred. This is a full-time, twelve-month position with flexibility in scheduling available. This position is eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 403b retirement plan, and a student tuition discount.

Advancement/Development Project Coordinator

Dayton Christian is looking for a highly organized, motivated Advancement/Development Project Coordinator to join our team! This position will assist the Advancement Office with day-to-day operations, donor relations, and database management. This position will assist on key fundraising projects and campaigns. The schedule is part-time, 20 hours per week during the school year and one to two days per week during the summer months depending on workload requirements.

The qualified candidate must exhibit a strong work ethic, maintain a high level of confidentiality, and be attentive to detail. Candidate should be experienced with MS Word and Excel, be able to produce professional business correspondence, speak with donors over the phone and in person, and adapt to periods of increased activity / tasks during peak times. Experience with Raisers Edge software is preferred.

Reading Specialist 

Dayton Christian seeks a Reading Specialist to work with individual students and small groups of students on strengthening literacy skills. Qualified candidate will use a diverse set of strategies and methods to provide lessons along with academic support in the classroom. This role will partner with teachers and Intervention Specialist in conducting assessments to determine student reading levels, create reading lesson plans to match student needs, and help develop at-home strategies. A bachelor’s degree is required along with a valid Ohio Reading Specialist certificate. Two years of experience is preferred.

Extended Learning Teacher 

Dayton Christian School seeks a qualified candidate to serve in our growing Extended Learning after-school program. This is a part-time, 20-hour per week position. Schedule is Monday – Friday, 2:00 – 6:00 pm. Candidate is responsible for the safety and well-being of all students that stay on school campus after pick-up. Essential Functions of the position include keeping the students safe, offering learning activities for children to participate in while they are waiting to be picked up, and maintaining an organized classroom environment. Qualifications include a love for children, strong communication skills, and a desire to serve others. A high school diploma is required.

Homeschool EXCEL Teachers

Dayton Christian Homeschool is hiring part-time EXCEL teachers to teach enrichment classes to K-8th grade students. We are looking for dedicated Christians to serve as substitute teachers in grades pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. We provide a Biblically-based curriculum and environment to instill the love of Christ and God’s Word. Searching for candidates with flexibility in substituting for various grade levels and subjects. Must have a bachelor’s degree and be willing to obtain a non-tax certificate.

If a volunteer will be in a role that is responsible for the care, custody, or control of a student(s) when a DCS employee is not present in the room, the volunteer needs to submit to a fingerprint background check and pass prior to volunteering in that capacity. Please see an HR representative to help assist in the fingerprint check.
