Please take a moment to review an international student application process before proceeding to the application.
Click here to start your online application which is done through a DC Connect account. If you don’t have an account, use the “create account” option to set up a User ID and password. Your account will provide access to the online application which will allow you to track your progress from start to finish.
Once you submit an online application, you will have access to your application checklist which includes the list of required application documents. All documents and references required to complete your application must be submitted through the application checklist.
The student interview is the last step in the application process. An interview is conducted by an admissions committee and is scheduled by the admissions office once a student’s application is complete.
If a student is accepted, a notification with enrollment instructions is sent by email. To enroll, an enrollment agreement must be signed by a deadline listed in the agreement and an enrollment fee paid before the I-20 form can be issued. The official acceptance letter and the I-20 form are mailed to a family.
Dayton Christian requires every international student applicant to show English language proficiency by taking the TOEFL iBT or IELTS test. Please see the list of minimum language proficiency requirements below.

International health records must be translated into the English language and include, but are not limited to, immunizations, tuberculosis screening, information about allergies, medical conditions, and any other country-specific requirements.

International students must obtain an F-1 student visa. To maintain an F-1 student status, a student must continue to be enrolled at a SEVIS-accredited secondary school or university in the United States. The following steps must be taken to obtain the visa.
Submit proof of funding during the application process.
Receive acceptance to the school and the I-20 form.
Pay a SEVIS fee and schedule a visa interview with the U.S. Embassy.
As part of language and cultural immersion while attending Dayton Christian School, international students live with host families for 10 consecutive months. This arrangement fosters a wonderful experience for a student and a host family. The homestay program goes beyond simply offering room and board. It provides a social, spiritual, and cultural experience. DC host families have a direct and long-lasting influence on their international student(s).
Dayton Christian school carefully selects host families and matches them with incoming international students. All families are required to go through the application process which includes, among other things, a home visit and a background check.
