Dayton Christian School is seeking an Athletic Department Assistant. This is a full-time, 10-month position (occasional evenings/weekends required for events) [Limited Agreement: 2026/2027 school year; renewal will be as needed only]
The Athletic Department Assistant provides operational, facility, and administrative support for the DCS athletic programs, including game day preparation, facility scheduling and setup, transportation coordination, equipment and supply organization, and communication with coaches, staff, and outside groups. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, basic technical proficiency, physical readiness to assist with facility needs, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced athletic environment. The role carries responsibility for helping ensure athletic facilities, equipment, technology, and event logistics are prepared, maintained, and coordinated in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
Essential Functions:
- Game Day Set-up and Communication with Coaches on any game day facility needs for all 35+ DC sport teams.
- Facilitating busing needs for all teams.
- Facility Scheduling.
- Keys – Issuing keys and fobs as needed. Making sure correct keys are given, working, and assigned to the appropriate staff, and returned when coach or staff leave job.
- Maintain gator & golf carts (Fuel, maintenance, set-up).
- Facility Set-up and Management. • Scheduling Doors, lights & HVAC for practices, games and athletic events for all facilities as well as set-up for team events such as team dinners, media and IT needs team film sessions, etc.
• Working with the AD and Asst. AD to order supplies for facilities at the start of each season, including team specific needs.
• Work closely with the building facility manager to ensure all athletic facilities are properly maintained and notified and planned for upgrades or fixes prior to them becoming an issue.
• Answering phones and emails related to athletic facility management.
• Must be tech savvy for all IT needs for athletic department. (Scoreboards, iPads, Sound system).
• Maintain organized athletic storage room for equipment and uniform storage.

Athletic Department Assistant Job Description

Dayton Christian School (DCS) is seeking a passionate, organized, and energetic volunteer to serve as our Robotics Director. The Robotics Director will oversee and grow the K-12 extracurricular robotics program. This position will lead the implementation and expansion of FIRST programs, including FIRST LEGO League Explore, FLL Challenge, and FIRST Tech Challenge. The director will manage robotics initiatives across elementary, middle, and high school levels, ensuring that all students have access to meaningful, hands-on STEM learning experiences.
Requirements include:

DCS has openings for Substitute Teachers. We provide a Biblically-based curriculum and environment to instill the love of Christ and God’s Word. Our successful substitute teachers foster a safe and curious learning environment.

DCS substitute compensation:
- $120 per day for short-term sub assignments
- $140 per day for long-term* substitute assignment

Dayton Christian School seeks quality candidates who have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in the discipline they wish to teach. A bachelor’s degree or higher in education, a state teaching license, and teaching experience is preferred.

All candidates of Dayton Christian School must submit to a fingerprint background check when given an offer of employment and renew the fingerprint check every five years while employed at DCS.

Volunteer Information
If a volunteer will be in a role that is responsible for the care, custody, or control of a student(s) when a DCS employee is not present in the room, the volunteer needs to submit to a fingerprint background check and pass prior to volunteering in that capacity. Please see an HR representative for assistance with the fingerprint check.
