Dayton Christian School has a rich heritage of Educating for Eternity for over 54 years. Since 1963, our mission has been to partner with responsible Christian families and their churches in educating their students through a Christian worldview that keeps their hearts on eternity while equipping them to be the hands and feet of Christ on earth. We do this through a three-fold approach: (1) Instilling in students a love for Christ and God’s Word, a love for learning, and love for others (Matt. 22:35-40, (2) Inspiring students to approach scholarship, athletics, fine arts, and service as an act of worship (Eph. 4:1-3; Col. 3:23-24), and (3) Equipping students to reach their full, God-given potential within the Body of Christ and to live out their faith, with grace, wisdom and courage (Phil. 1:7-9; Col. 1:28-29).
Today, secular education struggles to develop only the mind and the body. In contrast, Christian education is a complete education, focusing first on the spirit, then on the mind and body. Our teachers are committed to developing the total person by providing a quality Christian education that is not only academically rigorous but also integrates biblical principles into every area of instruction. More importantly though, our faculty and staff love their students and are committed to teaching with their lives by being role models of Christ-like character and behavior.
Thank you for your interest in Christian education! We embrace partnering with you for the cause of Christ. May our hearts become increasingly passionate toward our children’s understanding and personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ! Let us model Paul when he stated, “We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me.” (Colossians 1:28-29)
