Parent Summit: Sextortion, Pornography, and Online Predators

A significant increase indepression and suicide in teens over the past 5 years has been linked to socialmedia and online activities. Dangers lurk behind every click. Teensare easily exposed to pornography and can fall prey to sextortion. Multiplesocial media sites open kids up to online bullying. How can parentsprovide access to the internet and electronic devices in a safe and meaningfulfashion? On Monday, January 29th, Dayton Christian is holdingPart 3 of the 2017-2018 Parent Summit Series, “Sex, Drugs, and Pornography”. Inthis session, we will be talking about current trends in teen use ofelectronics, and their risk of exposure to sextortion, pornography, and onlinepredators and bullying. This is a must for any parent of students who owna phone, i-pod, i-pad, tablet, or play on a gaming system. The session willstart promptly at 7 PM in the A Building Auditorium.
