What are the requirements for our family/student to apply to Dayton Christian?
Please take a moment and read our Admissions Policy, Mission/Purpose/Core Values and Statement of Faith. We are partnering with Christian families and require that at least one parent/guardian and the student (7th-12th grade) is a born-again Christian. We require the applying family and student to be actively involved in a local Bible-teaching church. We require a Church Reference as part of our application. Students 7th-12th grade should express a desire to attend DCS. A Parent Testimony and Student Testimony (7th-12th) is also required. We also require that the student is in good academic and behavioral standing at their current school.
How do I start the application process for my child?
First, we would love to meet you! Please come to one of our Visit DC Events (link) where you will receive a tour of our campus and meet our teachers; it’s a great opportunity for us to get to know you better. Would my child be able to come for a shadow day?
Yes! We welcome prospective students to come and spend a day (or half day) with one of our student ambassadors. Your child will get to experience a day in the life of a DC student, attend chapel, enjoy lunch on us and sit in on classes throughout the day. Just complete a Shadow Day Form for your Kindergarten through 4th grader or your 5th – 12th Grader!

Do you have a homeschool program?
Yes! We have a wonderful Homeschool program available for K-12th grade.
What documents will I need to have available to submit as a part of our application?
The majority of the application and document submission process is electronic. In addition to the online application, you’ll be provided a check list of additional documents to complete. This will include but may not be limited to the following: .
– Parent Testimony
– Student Testimony (7th-12th)
– Church Reference
– Teacher Recommendation
– Student’s Birth Certificate
– Student’s photo
– Student’s Report Card & Standardized Testing Results
The specific documents you will need to submit will vary depending on the grade level of your student(s) and whether you’re enrolling in our traditional school or Homeschool program.
Do you have scholarships or tuition assistance available?
Yes, Dayton Christian offers needs-based limited tuition assistance for qualifying families (learn more). In addition, our school accepts the Ohio EdChoice Scholarship. For more information visit the EdChoice website.
Do you offer transportation?
Many local school districts provide busing for our students, you can check with your local school district to see if your student would qualify. However, the Dayton school district does not offer transportation.
Do you limit your class size?
Yes, we do cap our preschool through 8th grade classes. We close our application window on June 30 and it may close sooner for some grades as they reach maximum capacity.
What opportunities will my child have to serve Jesus and others through DC?
It is our desire that all of our students have opportunities to serve and get involved at any age. Some of the ministries that we have been serving alongside are Shoes 4 the Shoeless, Care House, Samaritan’s Purse (Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes), High School Dominican Republic Missions Trip, Christian Caribbean Center for the Deaf Mission Trip, Inner City Chicago Mission Trip, Snuggled Up Inc., Victory Project, Target Dayton Ministries, World Mission, Miami Valley Women’s Center, and Wounded Warrior Project.
What extra-curricular and elective class opportunities do you offer?
Our students have many exciting opportunities to become involved in a wide variety of extra-curricular activites and electives. The include:

Art: Drawing & Design, Watercolor & Acrylic Painting, Oil Painting, Sculpture, Ceramics, Digital Photography and Yearbook
