Gredy Named Top Influential Educational Leader

We are pleased to announced that Head of School Dr. John Gredy, EdD, has been named as one of Ohio’s Top 500 Influential Leaders by Ohio Business Magazine.

Dr. Gredy is one of the only top Christian school leaders in Ohio chosen for this award under the education category. Ohio Business Magazine used feedback from community leaders and its own internal research to choose leaders whose work is having an impact on the state’s future.

“I’ve had pleasure of working with Dr. Gredy the past five years and it is abundantly clear he should be considered as one of Ohio’s top education and community leaders,” said Chris Brown, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Dayton Christian. “His dedication to excellence in all things – from academics, to fundraising, to family and church relationships – embodies the essence of this recognition.”

Dr. Gredy has been the driving force behind momentum occurring at Dayton Christian since he came to the school in 2016. The school’s PreK-12 enrollment has grown by 25 percent under his leadership, and it became the largest private school in the Dayton area in 2021. He has played an active role in parent choice advocacy and has resolved to stand for God’s truth despite the changing culture.

His role in the community extends to many organizations. He is a board member of South Metro Regional Chamber of Commerce, serves on the Leadership Council of the Ohio Christian Education Network (OCEN), is an elder at New Community Church in Xenia, and most recently served on the Planning Commission for Miami Township’s Ten-Year Plan.
