College Signing Day 2020
Dayton Christian School is proud to recognize six senior student athletes who recently signed to play at the next level. Last Wednesday, May 6, the Dayton Christian Athletic Department held its annual college signing day ceremony. However, this year the ceremony was held virtually on Zoom because of COVID-19 and the closure of school.

The following six seniors have signed to play intercollegiate athletics while pursuing an academic degree at an institution of higher education:
Dylan Bower will attend Cedarville University where he will study nursing and play baseball. Bower earned twelve varsity letters while at Dayton Christian in golf, swimming, and baseball. In baseball, Bower was named to MVBCA all-area team as a junior; and was an all-conference second team selection as a sophomore and junior. Bower holds two baseball school records in season saves (4) and career saves (5). Bower was on the conference championship 200 free swimming relay team his junior and senior years. Bower also collected all-conference second team honors in golf.
Andrew Dreier has also chosen to attend Cedarville University. While at Cedarville, Dreier will study business/marketing and play baseball. Dreier earned four varsity letters in baseball and two in football while at Dayton Christian. Dreier was named to Prep Baseball Report preseason all-state first team this spring. He earned all-conference first team honors during his sophomore and junior seasons; and was all-conference second team as a freshman. Following his junior season, Dreier was selected to PBR all-state second team.
Justin Dillhoff will attend Earlham College to study biology and play baseball for the Quakers. Dillhoff is a three-year varsity letter winner and 2019 Metro Buckeye Conference Baseball Player of the Year. As a junior, Dillhoff received first team all-conference and first team all-area honors. During his sophomore campaign, Dillhoff was selected to first team all-conference and second team all-state honors in baseball. Dillhoff was a starter on the 2018 and 2019 district runner-up baseball teams.
Rachel Miller signed to play women’s soccer at Taylor University and will study nursing or exercise science. A three sport student-athlete at Dayton Christian, Miller earned four varsity letters in soccer, three in swimming, and three in tennis. Miller earned girls soccer second team all-conference honors as a junior and senior. Miller received the Metro Buckeye Conference Girls Soccer “Coaches Award” following her junior season and was selected MVSSCA all-area honorable mention as a senior. Miller also earned second team all-conference honors on the first doubles tennis team.
Reid Wheeler has chosen to attend Taylor University to study mechanical engineering and play football. Wheeler is a three-year varsity football letter winner and two-way player on the 2019 and 2017 OHSAA Division VI playoff football teams. Wheeler was selected to the Southwest Ohio Division VI All-District 1st Team and received OPSWA Division VI All-State Special Mention honors. Wheeler was all-conference second team honoree with the Miami Valley Conference Grey Division his sophomore and junior years.
Seth Griswold plans to commit in the coming weeks to either Concordia University (Ann Arbor) or Taylor University to play football and pursue an undergraduate degree in communication with a minor in ministry. A dedicated and gritty multi-sport athlete, Griswold has earned ten total varsity letters while at Dayton Christian. In football, Griswold was named honorable mention all-state quarterback as a senior; and selected to first team all-southwest district as a junior and senior. Griswold received first team MVC all-conference grey division honors as a junior and was a second team MVC all-conference selection as a sophomore. On the basketball court, Griswold collected MBC all-conference second team honors as a junior and senior. Griswold was a four year varsity letter winner on the district finalist baseball team.
