Warrior Athletics: The Year in Review

As we prepare for the upcoming 2019-2020 academic year, we wanted to take some time and look back on all of our interscholastic athletic accomplishments during the 2018-2019 school year. The Dayton Christian Warriors have much to be thankful for and we are praising our Lord for His daily blessings, provision, mercy, and grace!

Dayton Christian School Athletics 2018-2019 Year in Review Per Sport

First, Dayton Christian School earned the Metro Buckeye Conference (MBC) All-Sport Champions for the second consecutive year!

Boys Soccer team: MBC Champions for 5th consecutive year. OHSAA D3 Sectional, District & Regional Champions. Won OHSAA D3 State Semi-Final & finished as State Runner Up, a first in DCS history!!

Girls Track & Field team won the OHSAA D3 District Championship for the first time since the 1990’s.

Baseball team: MBC Champions for the third consecutive year, OHSAA D3 Sectional Champions & District Runner-Up.

Boys Swimming: Won first ever MBC Championship! Advanced six swimmers to District Championships.

Girls Swimming: Won MBC Championship, their first title since 2015.

Softball team clinchesd share of their first MBC title since 2013.

Boys Cross Country team finished 4th at District Championships and advanced to OHSAA D3 Regional Championships.

Tennis team finishes season with 19-2 overall record and was ranked #9 in the Miami Valley!

Competition Cheerleading Squad won the CCA Hoosier Classic Competition & placed 3rd at CCA Christian Cheer Nationals.

Girls Soccer team posted a 3.85 average team GPA. Four players received scholar-athlete awards.

Volleyball team posted nine wins on the season, the highest win total since 2014.

Boys Track & Field team finished 2nd at the MBC Championships.

Girls Cross Country team placed 4th at the MBC Championships.

Football team finished 2nd in the MVC Grey Division. Three players were selected to various OPSWA D6 All-Ohio Football Teams.

The Golf program hosted the First  Annual DC Golf Invite at Pipestone GC.

Sideline Cheerleading squads organize 1st Annual Color Run that raises $335 for the Pink Ribbon Ladies!

Boys Basketball: Anton Webb earned District 15 All-Area Honors.

Girls Basketball: Camryn Collinsworth surpassed 700 career points. The team donated ten homemade blankets to St. Vincent de Paul Dayton homeless shelter.

Wrestling team finished 6th at MVC Championships.

Honors Earned

MBC Conference Champions: Boys Soccer, Boys Swimming, Girls Swimming, Baseball, Softball.

MBC Coaches of the Year: Neil Craft (Boys Soccer), Tom Wiggershaus (Boys Swimming), Nichole Sharp (Softball).

MBC Athletes of the Year: Noah Alexander (Boys Soccer), Anton Webb (Boys Basketball), Justin Dillhoff (Baseball).

By the Numbers

52 Dayton Christian athletes earned 1st Team All-Conference Athletes (MBC/MVC).

20 DC athletes earned 2nd Team All-Conference Athletes (MBC/MVC).

15 DC athletes earned MBC Individual Sportsmanship Awards.

New School Records Set in football, boys soccer, boys swimming, girls track & field, baseball & softball.

Seven student athletes signed to compete at the next level.

DC athletics hosted five youth athletic camps held during the summer of 2019!

The DC Athletic Boosters gave our five thousand dollars worth of of athletic scholarships.

Annual WOTW Golf Outing raised over $25,000 to support DC Athletics!

The 20,184 sq. foot Warrior Center broke ground in July 2018 and will open August 14, 2019!!
