Thank You For Your Service
Earlier this month, Dayton Christian School celebrated our faculty and staff during Employee Appreciation Week. The school, with the cooperation of our PAC moms and other donors, provided treats for our faculty and staff throughout the week to thank them for their service to the ministry.
On Monday, donuts were provided for the teachers. Our PAC moms provided a full breakfast on Tuesday as well as a lunch from City Barbecue on Wednesday. The highlight of the day on Thursday was the Appreciation Reception after school where retirees and those reaching “milestone” years were honored. In addition to a gift, honorees are also showered with cards and thank you letters from the faculty and staff.
DCES Principal Rich Garrett and 8th grade English teacher Carolyn Pummill were recognized as this year’s retirees. Garrett, after 37 years at Dayton Christian, will step down to the part-time role of Head of Security and Church Relations. Pummill will be leaving DC after 22 years of teaching.
Kathy Reno was honored for her thirty years of service. Reno has served faithfully behind the scenes in finance and admissions and worked as the the site director at the Xenia campus for 8 years (while it was still under the auspices of the Dayton Christian School System).
Harold Pulver was recognized for his fifteen years of service both on the faculty and in the maintenance department. Melissa Gaston and Nancy Conway were honored for their ten years of service.
The following were recognized for their five years of service: Melissa Geiss, Sarah Griffiths, Sara Hunt, Dawn Isaacs, Jen Ishmael, Gayle Mills, Ken Moyer, Beth Ann Rohrer, Erin Smith, Anna Stroh, and Beth Towle.
