Warrior Center Dedication and Groundbreaking

Members of the Dayton Christian School Facilities Team, members of the DCS Board of Trustees, the Wenco Construction team, and others who have been integral to the construction of the project thus far gathered near the Warrior Center site to dedicate the building to the Lord.

Dr. Jonn Gredy, Head of School, welcomed the crowd, and John Hart, Chairman of the Board of Trustees opened the ceremony in prayer. Mark Ruetschle of Ruetschle Architects spoke briefly about the timeline of the project – dating all the way back to 2004 – and how God has provided our need in His timing. Jason Brown of Heapy Solutions, an engineering firm, and Suzanne Winters, owner of Wenco Consruction also gave remarks.

The small crowd read aloud the public declaration of commitment (see below) and a prayer of commitment.

As a steel beam rose in the Warrior Center in the background, shovels full of dirt were lifted to celebrate the fact that the Warrior Center is indeed under construction and making good progress.

It was a great day in the history of Dayton Christian School, but there will be more opportunities for the entire DC family to come together to celebrate the construction. Today’s event was small due to the limited size of the site, but plans are underway to provide a way for everyone to check out the progress of the work and celebrate God’s great provision for our school. Stay tuned for more details!
