Honoring Our DC Graduates
Today our seniors walked the halls of Dayton Christian School for the last time in the 2018 Senior Walk. Dressed in their caps and gowns, the Class of 2018 enjoyed the congratulations, high fives, and encouragement from the rest of the students who lined the hallways.
Immediately following the senior walk, the entire student body filled the auditorium for a special ceremony to thank the seniors for their contributions to the Warrior Center.
Even though their class would never directly benefit from building a gym, the seniors were very committed to making sure the Warrior Center become a reality. They held the ”Pyle it Up” campaign (in which they sold apparel and other items sporting a cartoon photo of former Bible teacher Paul Pyle), sold planks in the gym floor, and several seniors helped out with phone-a-thons.
In honor of their hard work, each of our DC preschoolers presented small token shovels to the seniors. In turn, the Class of 2018 gave each preschooler a Warrior helmet to let them know that one day it will be their turn to lead.
Each of the seniors prayed that God would bless the preschoolers’ time at DC and the Warrior Center as it is used for future generations.
