Elementary Uses Change to Make a Change

The spiritual emphasis of Dayton Christian Elementary school is to teach our students to be the hands and feet of Jesus, to be salt and light. The elementary students worked to do just that last month when they brought in their change to make a change: They raised almost $560 for World Mission to purchase solar-powered audio Bibles (known as The Treasure) for unreached people groups.
According to World Mission, each Treasure is used more than 2,000 hours over the duration of its lifetime, usually in groups of 8-14 people. Therefore, it is safe to say that anywhere from 100 to as many as 2,000 people will hear about Christ through each Treasure!!

Each audio Bible costs $50, so the elementary school raised enough to purchase eleven audio Bibles.

In addition, DCES participated in a Mission Jeans Day to help support the Kenya Mission Team which will be serving this summer. The students raised $137.80 for the team.

Thank you to all for your generosity!
