Junior High Blesses DCS Neighbors

The seventh and eighth grade Bible classes led by Ryan Bostater completed their annual Gifts2Jesus4Neighbors project in which the students leave gift bags on the doorsteps of our neighbors near campus.

file-5This year the gift bags included a candy cane and an accompanying story of the legend of the candy cane, a hot chocolate mix and an original poem by seventh grade Izzy Thompson, as well as a personal Christmas card from a student that explained why Christmas is so important to them. This year the students left gifts at 180 homes in the area.

“The students walked across the street to the local neighborhoods and delivered the personal gifts, leaving them at the front door of homes in the community,” said Bostater. “Each gift clearly shared the birth of Jesus Christ to our neighbors.”

Way to be the hands and feet of Christ, Warriors!
