Making a Difference With Operation Christmas Child
Each year, our elementary and middle school students pack boxes full of toys, candy, and personal items for Operation Christmas Child, a program of Samaritan’s Purse. Once those boxes arrive at the OCC Operations Center, a tract in the language of the child receiving the box will be added to the other gifts. It is a simple way to reach children of the world for Christ.
This year, the students of Dayton Christian School turned in 551 boxes. That means that 551 children will hear the gospel message and receive a box full of gifts!
Here are some highlights of this year’s collection:
- Students wrote a letter and prayed that the children receiving their box would hear of God’s love and accept
- Ms. Anders’ class set a class goal of 100 boxes — and met it!
- The middle school held packing parties during Bible classes. Some went on a field trip to purchase their items.
- The elementary students packed their boxes at home and brought them in to school today.
Let us continue to pray that the children who receive these boxes – and their families – will come to know Christ and that these heartfelt gifts from our students will make a huge impact in their lives!
